SolidPing vs Pulsetic
Pulsetic is a hosted uptime service with very good status pages. It is owned by Designmodo, the company behind Slides and Postcards. It has four parts: uptime checks, brandable status pages, real user monitoring (RUM), and dependency monitoring, which watches the status pages of 4,300+ third-party providers for you. That last one is something SolidPing does not have at all.
Both sides of this page are hosted services. Pulsetic is SaaS only, so the subject here is SolidPing Cloud: our plans, our six regions, our limits. The free self-hosted build is covered at the end and is not in the table.
Pulsetic markets thirteen products. Underneath they are six probe families: HTTP, ICMP, TCP, SSL, domain expiry and cron heartbeats. SolidPing has 40 check types.

Where SolidPing Cloud is the stronger choice
Everything behind the website. Pulsetic checks HTTP, ping, TCP ports, certificates, domains and cron jobs. SolidPing adds DNS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Redis, MongoDB and ClickHouse, SMTP, IMAP and POP3, SSH, FTP, SFTP, gRPC, WebSocket, UDP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, SNMP, Docker, Kubernetes, game servers, browser checks and sandboxed JavaScript checks.
Anything inside your network. Pulsetic probes from its own fleet only. SolidPing Cloud lets you run deported agents inside your network, one on Free and up to five on Scale.
A bigger free plan. Pulsetic's free plan is 10 monitors at five minutes, with no status page and no API. Ours is 100 monitors with status pages, on-call and the API included.
The API on every plan. Pulsetic's API starts on Team ($19). The $9 plan is web UI only. SolidPing's REST API, CLI and YAML import work on Free.
Faster checks. Pulsetic's floor is 30 seconds on Team. Ours is 10 seconds on every plan, spent from the checks-per-minute budget.
On-call. SolidPing has rotations, overrides and multi-step escalation on every plan. We found no public documentation of on-call rotations or escalation policies in Pulsetic. That does not prove they are missing, so check before you decide on it.
Where Pulsetic is the stronger choice
Dependency monitoring. Pick Stripe, SendGrid, GitHub or any of 4,300+ providers and Pulsetic forwards their declared incidents to you. In the middle of an incident that answers "is it us or them" in one place. SolidPing has nothing like it.
Real user monitoring. A script tag gives you Core Web Vitals, page-load breakdowns, JavaScript errors and failed requests from real visitors. We do not collect any of this.
Status pages are its best feature. Password-protected or SSO-gated pages, translations, PDF and image uptime reports, badges, and a white-label model where one account runs a branded page per client and clients never need a login. Our status pages are public only and have no report export.
SMS and phone calls are included. 30 to 200 a month depending on plan, then $0.10 each. SolidPing Cloud does not include SMS, voice or WhatsApp at all today. Pulsetic also has Telegram and SIGNL4, which we do not.
More probe locations. 15 locations on five continents, against our six regions.
Cheap for a small number of fast checks. Pulsetic charges per monitor, not per check. 100 monitors at 30 seconds is $29/mo on Team. The same on SolidPing is 200 checks a minute, which is our €45 plan. At one-minute intervals it is €15 with us. At 500 monitors Pulsetic is $89/mo, and we are €15 at five minutes or €45 at one minute.
The other model, on both sides
Pulsetic does not self-host. Everything is checked from its own fleet.
SolidPing does, and that build has no plan. The same Go binary, AGPL-3.0, on your own SQLite or PostgreSQL: unlimited monitors, unlimited check rate, unlimited private agents and status-page domains, 30 members by default and more in config. SMS, voice and WhatsApp work too, with your own Twilio account. You pay for the machine and you own the pager when the monitoring breaks.
Which should you pick?
Pick Pulsetic if your stack is mostly websites and APIs, if you run status pages for clients, or if you want RUM and third-party incident alerts in the same bill. The status pages are better than ours and the dependency monitoring is something we do not do.
Pick SolidPing if you need to watch databases, queues, mail servers or hosts as well as URLs, if anything sits inside a private network, if you want the API on a free or cheap plan, or if someone has to be on call. Start on the free plan. If the missing SMS gets in the way, the self-hosted build has it through your own Twilio account.
