SolidPing vs Site24x7
Site24x7 is the broadest product in this comparison, and it is not particularly close. Zoho's ManageEngine division has been shipping it since 2006: 100+ monitor types, 130+ probe locations, APM agents for seven languages, cloud integrations for AWS, Azure and GCP, RUM with session replay, log management, AIOps anomaly detection, an MSP mode and native mobile apps. It is a single-pane-of-glass play against running Datadog + Pingdom + New Relic, and it undercuts all three.
SolidPing does not compete with that surface area and does not try to. What this page is about is the two places the breadth stops paying: the metering, where almost everything is an add-on and the starting price is rarely the real price, and the boundary, where a platform of that size wants an agent and a login on everything you own.
Both sides here are hosted services. Site24x7's on-prem poller does not change that — the control plane is theirs — so the table compares it against SolidPing Cloud. Our self-hosted build is a separate answer, below.

Where SolidPing Cloud is the stronger choice
The starting price is the price. Site24x7's packs open at $9/mo, and then users, monitors, retention, AIOps, SMS credits, private-location agents and log volume are all metered separately — a real workload rarely resembles the headline number. SolidPing has four plans, €0 to €45/mo, and every feature is on all of them: 40 check types, on-call, escalation, status pages, the full API. What is metered is monitors, seats, agents, a checks-per-minute budget and status-page domains, and that is the whole list.
Uptime monitoring rather than an IT-management platform. Site24x7 is an agent estate — server agents, APM agents, cloud integrations, on-prem pollers — with an account structure to match. SolidPing Cloud is a dashboard, a set of checks and an on-call rotation. If the second sentence describes what you were shopping for, the breadth in the first one is weight.
Secrets your monitoring vendor cannot read. Site24x7's on-prem poller is a genuine private-location feature, but the credentials it uses live on their side. SolidPing's deported agent generates its own keypair locally and receives age-sealed credentials, so a check running only in your network is structurally unreadable by us — and it is on the Free plan, not an add-on.
No interval gating. A 10-second check is available on SolidPing's free plan. Site24x7's floor is one minute unless you are on an enterprise tier.
Retention is not a line item. Site24x7's free tier keeps 30 days and sells you more.
Config as code without an OAuth dance. SolidPing exports and applies declarative YAML
through the API and the sp CLI. Site24x7's API is capable but sits behind Zoho's OAuth 2.0
token-refresh flow, which is real work to automate against.
Where Site24x7 is the stronger choice
Breadth, honestly. APM for Java, .NET, Node, Python, Ruby, PHP and Go. Real User Monitoring with session replay. Log management with parsing rules. Network device monitoring over SNMP with topology. Cloud-native integrations for 60+ AWS services. We have none of that and are not building it.
130+ probe locations against our six. More than anyone else here, with regional data centres in the EU, India, Canada, Japan, Australia, the UK, the UAE and Saudi Arabia for data-residency requirements. We run four European regions, one in the United States and one in Japan. That is a twentyfold difference and no amount of framing changes it.
SMS and voice exist there and not here. Site24x7 meters them as credits and gives five a month away on the free tier. SolidPing Cloud includes none, on any plan.
AIOps. Anomaly detection and forecasting on the metric series, plus alert correlation. SolidPing's incident correlation is rule-based — group rollup and adaptive resolution — not learned.
MSP mode. Multi-tenant management built for managed service providers, with white-labelling. SolidPing is multi-tenant, but this is a productised workflow we do not have.
Native mobile apps. They have them; we do not.
Fifty free monitors at one-minute intervals is a strong free offer, and Zoho has been around long enough that it will still be there next year.
The other model, on both sides
Site24x7's on-prem poller is not self-hosting. It puts a probe inside your network, which is genuinely useful, but the control plane, the data and the credentials stay with Zoho, and it is a paid add-on.
SolidPing self-hosts completely. The whole product — dashboard, checks, status pages, on-call — as one Go binary under AGPL-3.0, against a database you control, with no plan caps on monitors, check rate, agents or domains, and SMS and voice working through your own Twilio account. There is no Site24x7 equivalent at any price. What you give up is the breadth: nothing in the self-hosted build does APM, RUM or logs either.
Which should you pick?
Pick Site24x7 if you are consolidating — if replacing three vendors with one is the actual goal, if you need APM or RUM or logs in the same console as the uptime checks, if you need probes in a dozen countries, or if data-residency in a specific region is a requirement you have to satisfy on paper.
Pick SolidPing if you want uptime and infrastructure checks done thoroughly and nothing else, if the metered add-ons have made the bill unpredictable, or if some of what you need to watch cannot be reached from a vendor's network and cannot hand credentials to one. The hosted free plan costs nothing; the self-hosted build costs a VM and an afternoon.
