How SolidPing compares
These pages exist because we got tired of comparison articles written by people who had never run either tool. Every page below says where SolidPing loses as clearly as where it wins, names versions and dates, and links to the source so you can check.
If a detail is wrong or out of date, please open an issue. Several of these tools ship faster than we can re-read them.
How we compare
SolidPing exists in two versions, and so do several of the tools below. Comparing the wrong pair is how comparison pages end up flattering: quoting our free self-hosted build against somebody's $50 plan proves nothing except that free is cheaper than paid.
So the rule on these pages is like against like:
- Against a self-hosted tool, the subject is SolidPing self-hosted — the AGPL-3.0 binary on your own hardware, no plan, no caps, and SMS and voice through your own Twilio account.
- Against a hosted service, the subject is SolidPing Cloud — the plan you would actually buy, with its real limits: six shared probe regions, a checks-per-minute budget, metered seats and agents, and no SMS or voice included.
Every page then says what the other model gives you, on both sides — because our self-hosted build answers things the hosted one cannot, and because a couple of these tools sell a hosted service on top of their open-source one.

Bringing your configuration with you
SolidPing ships first-party importers for Uptime Kuma, Gatus, Better Stack and UptimeRobot. Each one has a dry-run mode, so you can see exactly what would be created before anything is:

Anything the converter cannot translate is reported rather than dropped silently.
What we will not do on these pages
We do not publish a competitor's numbers we have not verified against their own site or their source. We do not claim to be fastest, cheapest or best — those are either false or unfalsifiable. And we do not compare against a version that is months old without saying so.
